Full program description

This program is designed to introduce the framework, guiding principles, and behavior change strategies of the PCM Crisis Management System, as well as the core principles, safety considerations, and decision-making processes associated with physical intervention procedures and techniques. Participants will develop an understanding of how to apply these concepts across a variety of settings to support clear, effective, and respectful responses, including the safe and appropriate use of physical interventions that uphold dignity, reduce restriction, and promote calming.

In addition, the program prepares instructors to deliver high-quality, consistent, and safe PCM training experiences by emphasizing effective training preparation, professional instructional practices, participant engagement, safety, skill development, and quality assurance throughout the training process.
